In Memory of Martine Larsen

We are honored to recognize a recent gift made in memory of Martine Larsen, a remarkable woman whose life was defined by resilience, brilliance, and boundless compassion.

Martine Larsen 1930 - 2023

Born in 1930 and raised on a cattle ranch in Nevada during the Great Depression, Martine’s journey was one of determination and grace. She put herself through UCLA, became a certified public accountant, and rose to prominence at Arthur Andersen in San Francisco. Her love of numbers was matched only by her love of animals—especially dogs—and her zest for life.

Martine was known for her signature hats, her joyful 4th of July gatherings, and her deep affection for her “children,” both human and furry. Even in retirement, she pursued creativity through voiceover work and remained a vibrant presence in her community.

Her legacy is one of kindness, patriotism, and joy. In lieu of flowers, her loved ones asked for donations to be made to animal welfare organizations—an enduring reflection of her generous spirit.

We are deeply grateful to receive a gift in Martine’s memory.
It is a beautiful tribute to a life well lived and a heart that touched many.

Thank you, Martine. Your light continues to shine.
