One week until Giving Tuesday: Your donation gets matched

Mark your calendar for December 2.

That's when something extraordinary happens: a generous donor will match every dollar you give to women's education, up to $1,000.

Your $25 becomes $50. Your $75 becomes $150. It's the closest thing to actual magic that exists in charitable giving.

The goal: Transform multiple lives

Woman of Wonder needs to raise $2,200 by next Tuesday. That's the cost of one scholarship that changes everything.

But here's where it gets exciting. With that matching fund doubling every contribution, we're not just funding one woman's education. We're looking at transforming multiple lives in Southwest Washington.

What makes Woman of Wonder different

Most scholarship organizations write a check and call it done. We built something bigger.

Woman of Wonder provides scholarships to women throughout Clark, Cowlitz, Skamania, and Wahkiakum counties, including special funds for those who've survived domestic violence and the Pat Stephens Scholarship honoring women who lift up their communities.

But that's just the beginning.

Kindness Couriers send uplifting messages to scholars during their toughest moments.

The White Elephant Book Exchange brings community and literature together every March.

Critical thinking skills developed through education return to Southwest Washington, creating vibrant and innovative communities where everyone flourishes.

We chose "Woman" singular in our name because we want every scholar to declare with confidence, "I am a Woman of Wonder."

Or, “Man of Honor,” we love all our donors.

And when you give next Tuesday, you join our circle too.

The ripple effect of supporting women's education

Your Giving Tuesday donation creates lasting change:

  • Scholar earns her degree with your support

  • She returns with fresh perspectives and problem-solving skills

  • She becomes the entrepreneur, teacher, healthcare worker, or leader who makes Southwest Washington stronger

  • The ripples never stop spreading through our community

Over 50 women have received Woman of Wonder scholarships since we started. They're working right here in Clark County and throughout Washington, using their education to strengthen our communities.

Why Giving Tuesday matters for nonprofits

Giving Tuesday started as a simple idea: a day to encourage charitable giving after Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Now it's a global movement. In 2024, Giving Tuesday donors contributed over $3.1 billion to nonprofits worldwide.

For small nonprofits like Woman of Wonder, Giving Tuesday levels the playing field. It's when communities rally around causes they believe in. It's when matching funds multiply impact. It's when $10 donations from dozens of people add up to transformed lives.

Since 2018, Woman of Wonder's Giving Tuesday campaigns have raised over $2,500 for women's education in Washington. This year, we're going to surpass that total in a single day.

Your Giving Tuesday game plan

Next Tuesday is your chance. Whether you give $20 or $200, that matching fund turns your generosity into twice the impact.

We're going to exceed that $2,200 target and show what happens when a community invests in women's education.

Here's your four-step plan to prepare:

  1. Set a reminder for December 2

  2. Decide your donation amount (remember, it doubles automatically)

  3. Visit Woman of Wonder's  Giving Tuesday page when you're ready

  4. Share with friends who care about women's education in Southwest Washington

One week. One matching fund. Endless possibilities.

Get ready to create some magic.

Next Tuesday: It's Giving Tuesday. The matching fund goes live. Your doubled donation changes lives. We'll see you there.
