Do you love surprises, stories, and a little bit of whimsy? Then mark your calendar for Saturday, March 14, from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Doran Hall, 4300 Main St, Vancouver, WA—because our White Elephant Book Exchange is back, and this time it’s all about fantasy!
This beloved Southwest Washington community event brings together book lovers from Vancouver, Camas, Longview, and throughout Clark and Cowlitz Counties for an afternoon of literary magic and scholarship fundraising.
Imagine the thrill of picking a beautifully wrapped book, knowing only its genre, and discovering a new world inside. Whether you’re a fan of dragons, enchanted forests, or epic quests, this event is your chance to swap stories, share joy, and support education—all while enjoying:

How it works
Bring a fantasy book (or more!) wrapped with the genre clearly written on the cover. The mystery is part of the fun! And while we’re featuring the fantasy genre, you can bring your fav genre.
We have a suggested donation of: $10 pre-event or $15 at the door. You’ll remember the frantic check-in last year. We’ve figured it out a bit for 2026, but we’ll miss Pat Stephens handing out all those extra raffle tickets at check-in.
Support education for Southwest Washington women
Proceeds support scholarships awarded by Woman of Wonder. Your contribution helps us continue our mission of bringing more to women’s lives through education and empowerment. And you can always donate a little more. Of course, we’ll honor Pat’s legacy and give you an extra raffle ticket (or two), for sure!
Because books are magic—and sharing them makes that magic even stronger. Plus, you’ll meet fellow book lovers, discover new authors, and maybe even walk away with your next favorite read.
